4inkjets.com (Highest
Overall Rating) - last updated January 30,
2010 - Free shipping on orders over $50 (otherwise $3.95 per order) and
100% guarantee. They sell very high quality
Inktec refill kits at very good prices. They also have the lowest
prices for most OEM, remanufactured products, and
tektronix phaser products. They are one of the largest online vendors.
I have had contact with this company, and they appear very devoted to
customer service and maintaining their reputation for providing high
quality products. They recognize with the very high volume of products
they ship, there will be a rare cartridge that is defective. They fully
stand by their products. Here's a quote the CEO sent to one person who
wrote me about a bad cartridge she received (the reply came within 24
hours no less): "We know this
and stand by our cartridges 100%. That is why we have a 1 year 100%
satisfaction guarantee on all of products. No questions are asked when
a customer wants a refund or replacements. Once is a while a customer
is going to be a bad cartridge and we try to make it as painless as
possible."
They are offering a special promotion for
Med-Psych Network visitors - this gives them the lowest
prices for MANY products.
Use the following coupon codes
when you check out: Med5 for 5% off orders over $35 or
Med10 for 10% off orders over $55 (can NOT
combine coupons). But you still get the free shipping
on orders over $50. They will ship to US and Canada. Buy

with Epson-compatible cartridge" and also better than other "clone"
cartridge
Usenet Message 3 - Great prices,
shipping speed, and quality as well as several others with positive
comments found.
Abacus24-7 - (Best prices for canon inkjet products) I was e-mailed from someone who ordered from them and commented on the good quality and really low prices on canon products in bulk. After reading their ebay ratings (over 99.5% of people who order had a positive comment) I felt they deserve to be near the top. Since I added them, I have heard only positive things. They have a very good selection of products - OEM, generic and compatible products and some printer ink refills. They offer a 1 year guarantee. Shipping is a reasonable $4.99 - free on all orders over $99. Use this link and coupon code ABBTEN to save 10% off all ink orders!
123inkjets.com
- Save up to 75%, 90
day product guarantee. Shipping only $1.95, but often
have free shipping promotions when you check their site.
Currently free shipping on orders over $55. Sell remanufactured carts
and laser printer supplies. I have heard some problems with customer
service - see email message 1). They do ship
to Canada ($6), but no other international orders
They currently have a special (through 3/31/10) for 15% off
compatible ink cartridges and 10% off other products (excluding OEM
products) if you use coupon code: INKBLUE72
Usenet Message 1 - Reports great
price on Epson cartridge and first rate quality
Email Message 1 - Reports problems
with backorders and getting refunds
PrintCountry.com - Founded June 2000 and sell inkjet printer refill kits, remanufactured and generic carts, OEM printer carts, laser toner products (OEM and generic / remanufactured), fax supplies, and specialty printer papers. They even sell copy machines (starting at $245). I have not been able to find too much info on the internet, but their employees seem very knowledgeable from comments they've made and people have e-mailed me directly saying their customer service is excellent. Prices are competitive, especially if you order their bulk packages. They offer fast order processing and free priority USPS shipping on orders over $45 otherwise shipping is a reasonable $4.50. They will ship to Canada and internationally.
Atlascopy.com - (Largest
selection of inkjet refill kits and bulk ink)
From web site: "over 20 years experience in the inkjet and Imaging
Industry". They have a nice "knowledge base" and discussion board. They
consistently get very high marks for customer service. Shipping is
slightly pricey at $5.50. Will ship internationally.
Also, several messages I found on Usenet praise this company:
Usenet Message 1 - Generics work
well
Usenet Message 2 - Ink refills
work well, although I did find some messages saying that Epson generics
and refills are more likely to cause heads to clog. Proceed with
caution if you use Epson
Usenet Message 3 - Refill works
fine, but messy.
Abcink.com - Offer the lowest prices for many of the compatible and remanufactured products. They have a large selection and an easy to navigate website. They offer compatible, remanufactured, OEM, laser toner cartridges, and more. They have free ground shipping on all orders over $40. They only ship to the US, but will ship for an extra fee to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Overall comments seem to praise the low prices, but some complaints that delivery took longer than expected. (Site added January 27, 2004 - please provide me feedback if you order from them).
FJA Products - they have a good selection of name brand carts and laser printer supplies. Overall appear to be a decent company - mostly positive reviews, but overall not as large volume as some of the above companies. They appear to have very good prices on the name brand products. Along with cheap shipping of only $2.50 regardless of order size. They also carry a complete line of laser toners and fax films. FJA Prodcuts coupon code for free shipping: MPFREE
Ink4Art.com - Overall have mostly positive comments on the net. Their biggest weakness is shipping costs (which appear to be $5.95 per order). Not sure if they ship outside of the US. They have a HUGE variety of products, many are very cool. From their site, here's the list of some things they have: FireFly Fluorescent Ink, Epson OEM, HP, Canon, Lexmark, Compaq, Samsung, Kodak Cartridges Bulk Systems (a very interesting replacement for the HP 51645), Cleaning Carts, Archival Inks, Sublimation Inks, Waterproof Inks, Bulk Inks, Laser Toner, POS Ribbons, FAX Ribbons/Cart, Inkjet Refill Kits, Creation Kits, and more. Best of all, though, is if you use the link from this site, you can use coupon code: Crazy and save an extra 15%. My reviews of usenet groups show generally positive experiences, specifically commenting on success with their Epson cartridges, and also really liking their selections of papers. One person commented on the very cool canvas paper so that your prints will look like watercolor prints.
PacificInk.com - They sell a large selection
of products from OEM products, refill kits, remanufactured cartridges,
and laser toner at some of the lowest prices. People have given almost
all positive comments, but a few negatives saying UPS shipping took
about a week to get them etheir product. Most saying they have received
their carts very quickly. Shipping is $4.95 and free on
orders over $75. They will ship
internationally.
Ink-Jet.com
- From web site: "All of the products are warranted 100% for customer
satisfaction. Our customers include major US retailers, Fortune 500
companies, schools, universities, military and international customers.
Stringent quality control and integrated technology assure that you get
product as good as the original manufacturer's products." FREE
Shipping on all orders.
Usenet Message 1 - Positive feedback
for cheap printer ink and good customer service
Mr Ink Man - Have a good selection of products and a 100% guarantee. Sell mostly remanufactured and generic compatible carts, with a very large selection. Prices are good, and they price themselves on same day shipping if order is placed before 2:30pm EST. They will ship to US, Canada, and internationally. US shipping is only $3.50 and Canada is $4.50. I have received some positive feedback that their cartridges have worked without problems.
All-Ink.com - 50%-70% OFF All Ink Cartridges. They have served a very large volume of people. Free shipping on $40 orders, otherwise $4.95. $7.95 to ship to Canada. Recently have had some reports of bad cartridges as well as poor customer support to try to reach them.
Inkquik.com - Sell remanufactured and compatible ink carts. Shipping is a flat fee of $3.95. I received an e-mail from someone who is very satisfied with the quality of the product, customer service, and price.
What are OEM cartridges?
OEM stands for Original
Equipment Manufacturer. These are the "name brand" products that you will find
at most computer stores. They are more expensive but typically of the best
quality.
What is a remanufactured cartridges?
A
remanufactured cartridge is on that was used and then completely refurbished.
This is done by disassembling the cartridge and replacing all of the worn
parts. Printer heads are tested for damage and defects. The cartridge is then
refilled with ink and tested for quality. It is a way to recycle an empty
cartridge and in theory still have the quality and reliability of a name brand
(OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer) product. Remanufacturing is a more
complete process than just "recharging" or refilling. Remanufactured cartridges
are usually going to be the cheapest alternative to filling cartridges
yourself. After inserting a remanufactured product, you should always run your
printer's print head cleaning utility 1-2 times. This process should be found
in your printer's operating manual.
What are compatible or generic
cartridges?
Compatible (also referred to as generic) cartridges are
made to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications of
quality and reliability. These products are 100% brand new, unlike refilled,
recharged, or remanufactured products. They will be more costly than those
options, but cheaper than name-brand products, often with comparable
quality.
What are inkjet refills?
Inkjet refills come in kits (or
some places sell these as separate supplies) that consist of bottles of ink,
syringes, and an air balance clip. Refilling a cartridge is simply the process
of putting the ink from the bottles into used cartridges. The air balance clip
balances the air inside your cartridge, assuring that ink flows from the print
head properly. After replacing your cartridge with a refilled product, you
should always run your printer's print head cleaning utility 1-2 times. This
process should be found in your printer's operating manual. This is definitely
the most economical approach to printing, but does take some time and effort
(and can be messy, especially when you are first learning how to do this).
Will refilling my cartridge (or using remanufactured products) void
the warranty on my printer?
Companies have threatened in the past to
void printer warranties when not using name brand products, but there is
apparently now legislation designed to prohibit voiding of warranties for this
reason. The laws are called the Magnuson-Moss
Warranty Improvement Act and you can search the web for more information.
